Developer Relations Engineer

Our Client, an innovative Layer 1 Blockchain start-up is seeking an experienced Developer Relations Engineer fluent in both Chinese and English to support developers in deploying on their platform with ease. 

In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for developers, offering hands-on assistance and continuously enhancing our documentation, examples, and tools in close collaboration with the engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, with proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, Go, or Rust, and experience in Developer Relations or contributing to open-source projects. You should be highly organized, proactive in meeting developer needs, and passionate about the transformative potential of blockchain technology. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure developers can deploy on the platform smoothly and enhance their experience continuously.
• Serve as the main point of contact for developers, offering proactive support through various channels such as Telegram, Discord, forums, and community chats.
• Work closely with the engineering team to improve documentation, SDKs, APIs, and examples to address developer pain points.
• Collect and prioritize feedback from developers to guide product and engineering team improvements.
• Advocate internally for the needs and concerns of the developer community.
• Foster and maintain relationships with developers to build a supportive and active community.
• Stay informed on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in blockchain and software development.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on always placing developers first. Acknowledge support requests within 15 hours of receipt.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests from different teams and channels, ensuring the highest level of support.
• 3+ years of proven experience in developer relations or technical evangelism for consumer-facing APIs, applications, or blockchain projects.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages: TypeScript, Go, or Rust.
• Ability to simplify complex technical topics for a wide range of audiences.
• Experience managing open-source projects and producing high-quality documentation.
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for supporting developers.
• Proactive, empathetic problem-solver committed to continuous improvement.

It’s a plus if you have: 

• Advanced proficiency in Cosmos, Move, or Solidity.
• In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology or distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain application development or smart contracts.
• Familiarity with the Cosmos SDK/Cosmwasm and active community involvement.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects, particularly in the blockchain space.
