We are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a focus on gaming to join our client’s team. As the Business Development Manager in Gaming, you will play a crucial role in managing complex business development deals, working closely with our Director of Gaming from inception to execution. We are looking for someone who possesses innovative thinking, a passion for the industry, and a strong desire to continuously learn and grow. In this position, you will have the opportunity to influence key partner teams, propose effective business strategies, and take ownership of end-to-end execution plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Director of Gaming to define the overall gaming strategy and its execution.
- Managing the entire lifecycle of complex business development deals.
- Providing feedback to managers on the current business development landscape.
- Communicating budget, product, and marketing needs to ensure the success of partnerships.
- Keeping track of emerging trends and new markets in gaming and blockchain applications, identifying opportunities for new products, services, and strategic partnerships.
- Evaluating and executing unique strategic partnerships within the web3 gaming vertical.
- Overseeing and guiding the day-to-day operations, deal structuring, and execution of BD Associates.
- Onboarding and training new associates and hires.
- Representing our client’s team externally at various events, conferences, and social media platforms.
- Establishing and communicating team and firm policies and procedures.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably with a focus on gaming.
- At least 3 years of experience in a startup environment.
- Extensive network with a proven ability to prospect, leverage opportunities, and identify potential partners.
- Familiarity with tokenomics, game design, and/or gaming infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills with key individuals and organizations.
- Passion for crypto and Web3, with a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest news and developments.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with minimal oversight, taking initiative, and anticipating future needs.
